چکیده

Abstract Pavement structure can be designed either as a flexible or rigid pavement based on its structural behaviour, with pavements being frequently favored due to advantages. One of the major problems that normally occurred in road construction was distresses quality materials. Numerous studies were carried out explore sustainable ways improve performance especially modification asphaltic concrete phases. This paper investigates effect Forta-Fi fiber stiffness hot mix asphalt mixture (HMA). In this respect, conventional binder grade 60/70 and Nominal Maximum Aggregate Size (NMAS) 12.5mm used preparation specimens specified Superpave design method. Performance modified samples incorporating 0.3, 0.5 0.7% total evaluated for resilient modulus accordance ASTM D4123 using Universal Testing Machine (UTM). The tested at 25°C 40°C pulse repetition period 1000ms, 2000ms 3000ms simulate low, medium high volume traffic. As result, values improved 38% 0.3% additive period, while 23% 0.5% Forta-Fi. Based these studies, addition fibers reinforcement into has significant reinforced mixture.

Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete

Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete is recent introduction in the field of concrete technology. The present day world is witnessing the construction of very challenging and difficult Civil Engineering Structures. Concrete being the most important and widely used material is called upon to possess very high strength and sufficient workability properties. Concrete the most widely used consrtuction ma...

Finite Element Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Column Under Lateral Load

To serve its purpose a structure must be safe against collapse and serviceable in use. Serviceability requires that deflections be adequately small to keep the cracks within tolerable limits. Although the widely followed ACI Code suggests a detailed method of deflection calculation, it often cannot exactly perceive the actual behavior of a structure. For this purpose, finite element analysis, u...

Ductility Performance of Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Concrete

This study presents a study on the ductility performance of hybrid fibre reinforced concrete. The influence of fibre content on the ductility performance of hybrid fibre reinforced concrete specimens having different fibre volume fractions was investigated. The parameters of investigation included modulus of rupture, ultimate load, service load, ultimate and service load deflection, crack width...

Applications and Properties of Fibre Reinforced Concrete

In conventional concrete, micro-cracks develop before structure is loaded because of drying shrinkage and other causes of volume change. When the structure is loaded, the micro cracks open up and propagate because of development of such micro-cracks, results in inelastic deformation in concrete. Fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) is cementing concrete reinforced mixture with more or less randomly ...

Properties of Hemp Fibre Reinforced Concrete Composites

This research is concerned with the mechanical and physical properties of hemp fibre reinforced concrete (HFRC). An experimental program was developed based on the statistical method of fractional factors design. The variables for the experimental study were: 1) mixing method; 2) fibre content by weight; 3) aggregate size; and 4) fibre length. Their effects on the compressive and flexural perfo...
